Avant Garde Dance Company is at the forefront of London’s hip hop and contemporary dance scene and we are focused on our ambitions to take its artistic work to new audiences, to provide innovative development opportunities to diverse artists, children and young people and to build a magnetic brand on multiple platforms from the base of a solid and sustainable organisation.
With plans for national and international touring of new work, release of new digital and physical participation and learning platforms and a variety of film projects over the next three years, now is the perfect moment to join AGDC’s team to help us shape our future.
At this exciting stage of the organisation, we are keen to broaden our Board’s skill-set; background; network, and are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with expertise in:
• Consumer Tech, mainstream music, fashion, film and TV
• Digital Fundraising / Digital Marketing
• Public Relations and / or Marketing and Communications
• Human Resources
We are also keen to see applications from backgrounds that are under-represented within the industry.
Job Title: Chair, Treasurer and Board Members
Terms of engagement: Voluntary
Commitment: There are 4-5 Board Meetings per year, held in the evenings lasting about 90 minutes. We ask that all Board Members also attend some of Avant Garde Dance Company’s events. Chair, Treasurer and any sub-committee appointments will include further involvement
Location: AGDC are based at Theatre Deli, 2 Finsbury Avenue, London EC2M 2PA, however we anticipate Board Meetings will be held remotely for the foreseeable future.
