OUR ETHOS

The ethos of Avant Garde Dance is to inspire and empower young people’s lives through dance. We believe in giving people the tools to fulfil their own unique potential and the confidence to express themselves and feel comfortable in the skin they live in.

With an awareness of how popular street and hip-hop art forms are among young people we use these as a gateway to capture their attention. Ultimately we encourage an open minded and creative approach to any dance form that inspire and excites them.

We believe in capturing the imagination and commitment of young people from the moment they set eyes on us. As a result Avant Garde has a growing community of young dancers training with the company, performing at platform events and ultimately sharing the stage with professionals.

All workshop leaders are dancers in the professional company and each one brings their own individual flair and passion to share their knowledge.

The safety and wellbeing of participants is our highest priority, download our Safeguarding policy here. Should you wish to access our complaints policy you may do so here.
